Third Annual RoboGames - International Robot Competition Returns To San Francisco - Robot Builders From Around The World Vie For Gold Medals And Fame

Walking Androids, Art robots, and the best flame-throwing, high-energy, steel-crunching robots in the world come to SF for the annual robot olympics! This year robots from 20 countries return to show off the worlds' best technology and innovation. Combat robots fight behind bullet proof glass, while humanoid soccer bots delight kids and adults. Sideshow entertainment includes the Beer-Can Can-can girls, smoothies made in a fire-spewing 240cc V-8 tiki drink blender, and music from Bay Area indy bands.

Presidio Main Parade Ground and San Francisco National Cemetery
10:30 a.m. – parade
11 a.m. – program

The event begins at 10:30 a.m. at the Presidio Main Post Parade Ground. A parade led by the 91st Division Color Guard and Pipes and Drums will proceed to nearby National Cemetery.

At 11 a.m., the formal ceremony will include historic vehicles, salute battery demonstrations, National Cemetery tours led by National Park Service rangers, music by the Pleasanton Community Concert Band, rifle vollies by the Northern California Brigade of United States Volunteers, and helicopter flyovers by the California National Guard.

Park near the Presidio Officers’ Club, 50 Moraga Avenue, on the Main Post. For more information, call the Presidio Events Line at (415) 561-5500.
